ANDREA PEKOVIĆ: ”SKY IS THE LIMIT”

Before arriving to Belgrade, Andrea Petković trained in Novi Sad, and she is now ready for the Serbia Ladies Open tournament, and is glad that it’s held in Serbia since she feels at home here. For this season, she’s setting new goals:

“My goal is to return to the top 50, I didn’t believe I could physically do it, since I had major knee surgery, but I’ve been feeling good for 3-4 months now, I’m in good condition and if I show that in the matches, I think I have a shot at top 50, and after that, the sky is the limit.”

For her coach, Petar Popović, she only has praise, and believes that she can accomplish everything she planned with him.

“I played the best tennis with Petar. I tried playing with the Germans too, they are certainly professional and knowledgeable, but I always prefer the Serbian mentality, with socializing and working together, so I wanted to have at least one Serb in the team, but it’s also good if there are more of them. I’m often on the road and away from home, but I like socializing, so this is all very pleasant to me.”
