Canadian tennis player Leylah Annie Fernandez failed to secure a place in the Serbia Ladies Open quarter-finals after she was bested by Bulgarian player Viktoriya Tomova with 2-1, and 6:3, 4:6, 6:2 in sets.
After the match, Fernandez analysed her game.
“There are many things I can learn from today’s match. I wish I played better, I wasn’t at the necessary level. I will talk to my coach and we will see what I can do in the coming days in order to prepare for next week. I’m planning to play the tournament in Strasbourg. This was a long and tiring week, I will need to let my body rest before Roland-Garros,” said Leylah Fernandez.
